Jam Stands aka Jelly Compotes were probably used by Victorians for jam, jelly, marmalades, chutney, relishes , garnishes for meats, vegetables, & who knows what else.  They are all about 5" in diameter at the top & about 4 1/2" - 6" tall.  Some may look larger or smaller because of the angle of the photo.
Most did not take a lid but if they have a lid, it might make them 6 - 7" high. These are damage free unless an irregularity is noted in the listing.
